Aventura II amphibious taildragger aircraft - While at the E.A.A. Sun N Fun Convention held at Lakeland’s Linder Airport Dan Johnson had the opportunity to talk to Aero Adventure about the changes the company has gone through over the past year.
Aero Adventure has now moved it’s manufacturing and sales outlet to Tavares Florida, which is becoming the Sea Plane capital of the U.S.! Sales have been very brisk with a number of Aventura II’s being sold at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring as well as several other kits since then.
At Sun N Fun the company announced that they have teamed up with Aero Momentum to offer the Aventura II complete kit powered by the AM 1500 – 117 HP 4 cylinder Suzuki Aircraft engine conversion for $48,700. This is a complete kit with nothing else needed to get it flying other than the time to build it!
Aero Adventure also offers a true amphibious part 103 legal ultralight aircraft, as well as several single seat experimental versions that can be powered by everything from a Rotax 582 to a Rotax 912!
Aero Adventure reports that it has sold over 400 kits world wide, and this doesn’t include the hundreds of Buccaneer II’s that the Aventura was based on. For those owning Buccaneer II’s the company reports it supplies parts and fabric and continues to support Buc II owners.
